GODOLPHIN’S excellent start to the season continued as Skiffle overhauled The Black Princess, in turn handing her jockey William Buick a fourth winner on the card.

Approaching the furlong pole, the race looked over as The Black Princess burst clear under Frankie Dettori but Skiffle, who had tracked the John Gosden-trained filly in midfield early on, pounced late to take the spoils.

Paddy Power responded to the success by introducing the 5-1 winner as an 8-1 chance for the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot next month.
