KINEMA ended the hopes of Scoop6 punters at Royal Ascot on Friday, the second day in a row the bet has not been won.

Wins for Across The Stars, Abushamah and Quiet Reflection in the first three legs meant only 15 players remained in contention at the half-way stage.

Qemah’s Coronation Stakes success then whittled that figure down to three, none of which managed to pick out the Ralph Beckett-trained Kinema.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “It’s a little surprising the Scoop6 has rolled early as none of the first five winners were priced above 8-1. At least players can start their study early for a guaranteed £200,000 Scoop6 on Saturday.”

There were 13 winners of the place fund each collecting £484.40

Saturday’s Scoop6 races:
Leg 1
: 2.55 Ayr, Leg 2: 3.05 Royal Ascot, Leg 3: 3.40 Royal Ascot, Leg 4: 4.20 Royal Ascot, Leg 5: 5.00 Royal Ascot, Leg 6: 5.35 Royal Ascot
