Aroldis Chapman, who was traded to the Yankees last month, will not be charged in domestic case.

New Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman will not face charges for an October domestic incident involving his girlfriend, Florida prosecutors have decided.

Broward Assistant State Attorney Stefanie Newman said conflicting accounts and insufficient evidence made a conviction unlikely.

The hard-throwing lefty, who spent his first six years in the big leagues with the Cincinnati Reds, was traded to the Yankees last month.

“We are all pleased that the Davie Police Department and the Office of the State Attorney took the time to fully investigate the matter and have concluded that charges were not warranted,” Chapman’s lawyer Paul Molle said in a statement.

“Mr. Chapman would like to thank the Davie police officers and the prosecutors at the Office of the State Attorney for their professionalism.”

GIRARDI: CHAPMAN WILL BEGIN SPRING TRAINING AS CLOSER

The news out of the prosecutors office comes a day after Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner made his first public comments about Chapman’s situation.

“In this country where allegations are brought against a person, that person is completely innocent until proven otherwise,” Steinbrenner told reporters, including one from USA Today, at the quarterly owners meetings in Coral Gables, Fla. “Not the other way around.

According to the police report, Chapman’s girlfriend, Cristina Barnea, told cops the pitcher pushed and choked her.

A proposed trade between the Reds and Dodgers fell apart after the incident. The Yankees were then able to acquire the four-time All-Star for four non-elite prospects.
