Yoenis Cespedes rides a horse into Mets camp

PORT ST. LUCIE — Yoenis Cespedes’ ride had a horsepower of one on Tuesday.

Yoenis Cespedes is going hog wild.

Yoenis Cespedes is going hog wild.

The Cuban star kept his 632-HP Lamborghini in the garage and instead saddled a horse along with pitcher Noah Syndergaard. Cespedes has gone from motorhead to farmer this week; after his car show jumped the shark last week, he bought a 275-pound Grand Champion hog Saturday. Now, he’s riding the horse and wearing a white cowboy hat.

The Mets centerfielder almost seemed to be mocking the attention he got last week for driving a different sportscar to the complex. That created such a stir, his car man came and held an impromptu press conference Friday.

Syndergaard has long expressed his “bro-love,” for the Cuban slugger. When Cespedes resigned, he tweeted that he wanted to be his roommate, even though he cannot cook. Now, they are apparently playing cowboys together.

When they were done horsing around, Steven Matz and Kevin Plawecki rode the ponies back to the other side of the complex.
