Vin Scully is heading into his 67th — and final — year calling Dodgers games.

The mailing address for Dodger Stadium will soon become 1000 Vin Scully Avenue.

A motion by Los Angeles City Councilman Gil Cedillo was passed on Friday to rename Elysian Park Ave. – which leads directly to the stadium’s main entrance – after Scully, the Dodgers’ legendary Hall of Fame announcer.

“I am overwhelmed,” Scully said in a series of tweets released by the Dodgers. “I was raised in the streets of New York and to have a street named after me in Los Angeles is almost too much to comprehend.

“A path to Dodger Stadium is a path way to my heart…For 55 years it has been an honor to walk that road to one of the greatest entertainment centers in the world, a place that has brought so much joy to all of us. I thank God for this great honor.”

The 88-year-old Bronx native and Fordham product is entering his 67th and final season behind the microphone with the Dodgers.

New manager Dave Roberts, current Dodgers Clayton Kershaw and Yasiel Puig and franchise legends Tommy Lasorda, Orel Hershiser, Maury Wills and Steve Garvey were among those expected to attend Friday’s City Council meeting, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“There’s no better way to recognize such an iconic Dodger as Hall of Famer Vin Scully than naming a street after him,” Dodgers president & CEO Stan Kasten said in a statement. “We appreciate Gil Cedillo and city officials bringing this to the forefront, and we look forward to the day when everyone can drive on Vin Scully Avenue when they enter Dodger Stadium.”
