Pacman Jones: I'll apologize if Antonio Brown sits next game

Adam “Pacman” Jones made headlines on Monday for saying he thought Antonio Brown was “faking” an injury after a hit by Vontaze Burfict in the Steelers’ dramatic win over the Bengals in the AFC wild card round.

Now Jones says he’ll apologize to Brown…but only under certain circumstances.

“I will send out an apology. I will,” Jones told Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” Tuesday. “If he don’t play.”

Brown is in the concussion protocol. Jones, on Monday on “The Dan Patrick Show,” alleged that Jones was faking and “winked” as he was walking off.

And though Jones said Tuesday he’ll apologize to Brown if the star wide receiver has to miss the team’s divisional round game in Denver, he doesn’t think it will come to that.

“When (Sunday) gets here…he will be cleared…24 hours before the game,” Jones said.

Jones also said he did not believe Burfict’s hit, which caused Brown’s injury, was dirty.

“No,” the Bengals’ cornerback said. “Everything Vontaze (does), everyone thinks is dirty.”

On Saturday after the Bengals’ loss to the Steelers, Jones told NFL Network that Jones “flopped” and deserved an “Academy Award” and a “Grammy Award” for his performance. Brown seemed to notice Jones’ mistake in saying he deserved a Grammy — a musical award — for an apparent acting job. On Monday, the Steelers’ wideout tweeted a picture of his head on Kanye West’s body performing, along with the caption, “Business is Booming!”

Marshall, who interviewed Jones, regularly appears on “Inside the NFL.”
