MORE OF THAT, second favourite for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham in March, is likely to miss the Grade 1 Betfair TV Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase at Sandown on Saturday as his regular jockey Barry Geraghty will be required to ride in Ireland.

Jonjo O’Neill’s exciting chaser, a former winner of the World Hurdle, was among 14 entries for the Sandown showpiece revealed on Monday and was certain to be prominent in the betting following two comfortable successes over fences at Cheltenham.

However, O’Neill told the Racing Post that he was an unlikely starter. “It looks as if Barry will be claimed to ride at Leopardstown on Saturday so there is every chance that More Of That will not be running at Sandown,” said the trainer.

He added: “We will be considering running him at Kempton or Newbury. The reasoning behind the decision is the fact that Barry gets on very well with the horse as they are unbeaten in two runs over fences this season and we do not want to break that relationship with the Cheltenham Festival only six weeks or so away.”
