Spring is in the hair in Minnesota.

The state’s HS hockey tournament is back, and the varied hairstyles that come with it, earning the tourney the moniker “The Land of 10,000 Locks.”

They’ve got mullets and mustaches, Farrah Fawcett flow and stripes like Vanilla Ice.

The sixth installment of the All Hockey Hair Team dropped early Saturday morning and has already been viewed more than 676,000 times on YouTube. The clip includes the same, dry delivery from its creator and the home movie-feel, two key ingredients for its success.

“I meant this to look more like the Minnesota version of, ‘I’m Larry, this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl,’” he told the Minneapolis Star Tribune, referring to the 1980s CBS sitcom “Newhart.”

“It should be like taking a drink out of the backyard hose.”

The mystery man behind the videos told the paper that the process is a team effort — his wife and two kids have input on the All-Hair Team.

Hockey equipment and apparel company Warrior Sports pledged a $15,000 donation last year if the video would get over 100,000 views — a number in blew past on its way to the 2.5 million range. The money was donated to the Hendrickson foundation, which helps disabled hockey players get back on the ice.

This year, Warrior is auctioning off a a black snapback hat with the outline of the state and “Land of 10,000 Locks” embroidered on the front. The Hendricks Foundation will, once again, be the beneficiary.

They’ll also make an additional donation in a partnership with GameOnMN.
