Slugger Kyle Schwarber made a name for himself going deep in his rookie season.

The Chicago Cubs curse has carried over into the spring.

After being swept by the Mets in the 2015 NLCS, the Windy City club has higher hopes for the upcoming season. But before spring training could even officially get underway, the heavy-hitting Kyle Schwarber experienced some bad luck right off the bat.

He sent a batting practice dinger into the parking lot that shattered a car windshield, and the owner posted a photo of the spider-web of broken glass on Instagram.

CUBS KEEP SCHWARBER PLAYOFF HR BALL ON SCOREBOARD

“Our car is now famous. Kyle Schwarber’s home run in batting practice found our windshield,” Peter Gesler wrote. “Everyone took pictures and laughed at the idiot who parked there. I did the same.”

Schwarber soon got wind of the accident and did what he could to make things right. The sophomore slugger tweeted at Safelite Auto Glass asking the company to help Gesler out, and they quickly responded in the affirmative.
