New York Knicks’ Kristaps Porzingis had to turn down fan Sam Miller’s prom invitation because he’d be out of the country.

You’ve never heard a nicer rejection.

Sam Miller, a 17-year-old Knicks fan from Miller Place High School on Long Island, has spent the last week showing off her homemade sign at Knicks games, asking the rookie sensation to prom.

“Hey Porzingis Take a Break From all That “Dishin and Swishin” and Be My #1 By “Stylin and Profilin” All The Way To Prom With Me?” the sign reads, quoting Knicks color commentator Walt “Clyde” Frazier.

AWAY FROM THE KNICKS, KRISTAPS PORZINGIS’ LIFE SOUNDS BORING

“I have been planning this for a little more than a month,” Miller told ESPN.

“I’m a huge fan of the Knicks and KP. I watch every game, so I wanted to bring him to prom with me, since I didn’t go to my junior prom due to being bullied by some boys.”

Miller said she met Porzingis’ dad at the game and he said that his son would get back to her soon.

As for what she would do if she actually showed up to prom with the Knicks star, Miller had a plan already.

“After I woke up from fainting, I would go get a New York Knicks dress made,” she said.

Unfortunately, Porzingis finally responded with a video he shot himself.

“Sam, thank you so much for the invitation to your prom,” Porzingis said.

“Unfortunately, I will be out of the country at that time, but I hope you have a lot of fun without me.”

Luckily, Miller said there were no hard feelings, even making a new sign for Sunday’s game.
