Try as they did, Arron Afflalo (c.) and the Knicks couldn’t get past the red-hot Raptors.

TORONTO – Health finally caught up with Kristaps Porzingis and the Knicks. They marched an infirmary line into snowy Canada and didn’t stand a chance.

Reduced to a starting lineup without their point guard and top two players, the Knicks were predictably overmatched by the red-hot Raptors, 103-93, in a snoozer TNT probably regrets booking for national TV.

Porzingis’ goal of playing every game was killed when an upper respiratory illness forced the Knicks to make a late scratch. Carmelo Anthony missed his second straight game with knee soreness. Jose Calderon was hampered by a groin injury.

In their place in the lineup, Fisher included used a player normally out of his rotation – Kyle O’Quinn – and two others acquired last season on 10-day contracts – Langston Galloway and Lance Thomas.

The makeshift crew hung around and made it semi-interesting in the fourth quarter, but New York’s fourth straight defeat could be summed up as such: the Raptors took a lead late in the first quarter and never gave it up. They also won their 10th straight game for the first time in franchise history, improving to 31-15 and 10 games above the inconsistent, multi-personality Knicks (22-26).

The visitors shot 43 percent, with Arron Afflalo continuing to misfire at 7-for-17 – two days after shooting 6-for-21 against the Thunder. Toronto was paced by their All-Star backcourt of DeMar DeRozan (24 points) and Kyle Lowry (26 points, 10 assists). The Knicks uncharacteristically missed half of their 20 free throw attempts.

Porzingis, 20, who was left off the All-Star reserves announced Thursday, has been pretty durable while exceeding his minutes total from his previous season in Spain. He seemed in good spirits during Thursday morning’s shootaround, amusing his teammates by sporting a tight black leather jacket. But the Latvian apparently fell ill before the game, and he never even made it to New York’s bench.

His consecutive games streak stopped at 47.

Anthony’s injury, while not as surprising, is potentially more concerning. He continued to downplay the pain in his knee, but it’s alarming that this is lingering in the same area that required surgery to repair a partially torn patella tendon.

Anthony agreed with coach Derek Fisher’s assertion that the pain might be related to overcompensating for a previous injury – a sprained right ankle.

The Knicks fell to 0-6 this season without him.

“I’m very confident that this is nothing but some fatigue, a little bit of soreness,” said Anthony, adding that he hopes to play in Friday’s game against the Suns. “Probably just an overload of work. I could’ve been overcompensating in those (previous) games.”

Anthony also revealed there was a setback that held him out of Tuesday’s loss to the Thunder.

“That day the soreness spiked up so I didn’t want to go out there and be [LIMITED]out there,” Anthony said. “I wanted to go out there and be myself. If I can’t be myself out there I feel like I’m hindering the team a little bit.”

Calderon also missed his first game of the season, as the ailments hit the Knicks like an avalanche in one night.
