The Browns are wrapping up ex-Jets linebacker Demario Davis with a 2-year deal.

Another Jets starter is out the door.

Linebacker Demario Davis is signing a two-year, $8 million deal with the Browns, according to sources. Davis visited Cleveland on Tuesday.

The Jets were not expected to hang on to Davis given that for much of the year the coaching staff platooned him with Erin Henderson. Davis had been a full-time starter under Rex Ryan in 2013 and 2014.

A third-round pick in 2012, Davis originally sat behind Bart Scott before ascending to the starter’s role. For most of his time with the Jets he was productive against the run and when rushing the passer, but he struggled in pass coverage throughout his time with the Jets. His overall play appeared to dip last season as well.

Gang Green still needs another inside linebacker to pair with David Harris. Henderson, who also is a free agent, is a possibility, though the Raiders are also interested in him. The Jets previously hosted former Bears LB Shea McClellin, as well.
