He had an inkling on how to get J.R. Smith’s attention.

A young fan at Wednesday’s Cavaliers home game dressed identically to Smith and the former New York Knick responded by giving the kid his autograph.

It would’ve been hard for Smith not to notice the fan, whose special Christmas Day Cav’s jersey partially covered up numerous temporary tattoos.

The young boy even had a fake collar tattoo of the New York Yankees logo, just like one of the many real designs Smith has on his body.

He waited during the team’s warm-ups on J.R. Smith bobblehead night, and lucky for him, the NBA star signed his game program.

The Cavaliers took note of the kid’s dedication too, as the team took photos of Smith making the boy’s night and shared it across their social media pages.
