Jimmer Fredette may be coming to the Knicks soon but his addition is certainly not adding a spark to the locker room.

Jimmer Fredette fever is alive and well everywhere except the Knicks locker room.

When a reporter informed Carmelo Anthony on Saturday that “the team is probably going to make a signing in a couple of days,” Anthony responded by asking, “who we getting?”

Fredette, a former first round pick, is expected to sign a 10-day contract with the Knicks on Monday. He has spent much of the season with the Knicks D-League affiliate in Westchester.

“To be honest with you,” Anthony said after being told about Jimmer’s impending arrival, “I haven’t seen Jimmy play in a long time. I’ve been hearing about what’s he’s doing down there in the D-League but I haven’t seen him play in action for a long time.”

Carmelo then chuckled and playfully chastised the reporter, “I thought you were telling me we were about to sign someone.”
