Brandon Marshall is thinking Super Bowl after a season in which he put up huge numbers but the Jets fell just short of reaching the playoffs.

It sounds like Brandon Marshall will be ready to hang up his cleats a year from now … if the Jets win the Super Bowl.

Marshall was asked by a fan on Twitter on Tuesday night if he was “ready to raise the Lombardi trophy over your head next season?”

“Yes then I retire,” Marshall responded.

The star receiver has recently ducked retirement questions. Though he will turn 32 in March, Marshall is coming off an exceptional season in which he had 1,502 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns and was named to his sixth Pro Bowl.

Marshall has said previously that he won’t play for another team after the Jets.

KICKING WOES
Jets kicker Kyle Brindza announced on Instagram that he had suffered a ruptured Achilles. Brindza was signed on a reserve/future deal recently and presumably would have been the No. 2 kicking option behind Nick Folk heading into training camp.

“Minor setback for a major come back,” Brindza said. “I have worked my tail off to get another shot and I got it, but now I have to take a step back. I ruptured my Achilles completely during my kicking workout.”

Brindza played in four games for the Bucs last year in his rookie season.
