Who caught Peyton Manning’s final pass?

If Sunday’s Super Bowl 50 victory over the Panthers was indeed Manning’s final game in the NFL, then the answer will be a tough one.

Manning’s last completion went to little-used second-year wide receiver Bennie Fowler for a 2-point conversion with just over three minutes to play to seal the Broncos’ 24-10 win.

Fowler caught just 16 passes from Manning this season, but his final grab from the future Hall of Famer will be one to remember. But the Michigan State product didn’t want to keep the ball for himself, instead he unselfishly passed it over to The Sheriff.

“Could it be his last completion?” Fowler tweeted on Tuesday. “I don’t know but I gave the ball back to him because he deserves it #respect.”

Manning, who holds enough NFL records to stretch a mile high, was limited to nine game this season due to injury and was a shell of his former self during the playoffs.

Relegated to game-manager status in the playoffs, the 39-year-old Manning completed just 13 of 23 passes Sunday at Levi’s Stadium for 141 yards, with an interception and a lost fumble. He played a supporting role in the Super Bowl win as the Broncos defense dominated Cam Newton and the high-powered Panthers offense.

Even though most experts are predicting that Manning will ride off into the sunset after finally getting his hands on a second Lombardi Trophy, Manning insisted he was not going to rush into an emotional decision about retirement.
