Carmelo Anthony celebrates Syracuse win on Snapchat

[ad_1]

At least Carmelo Anthony has something to celebrate.

On the day the Knicks were officially eliminated from the playoffs, Anthony still found some joy on Sunday after watching his former school–Syracuse–stun Virginia for a trip to the Final Four, posting his reaction to his Snapchat story.

“They don’t want us to win! They don’t want us to win!” Anthony screamed. “Cuse Nation is in full effect!

“It’s called perseverance. Everybody counted us out in the first half, we persevered. Eat, young boys, eat.”

Carmelo Anthony, who had his number retired by Syracuse in 2013, celebrates its unlikely trip to the Final Four.

Anthony knows a thing or two about reaching the Final Four, leading Syracuse to a national title in 2003 in his lone collegiate season.

Though that magic hasn’t caught onto any of Anthony’s teams in the NBA. He is currently stuck in his third straight playoffless season with the Knicks and has rookie Kristaps Porzingis pleading with him to stay in New York.

It’s just nice to see Anthony happy for a change.
