With Prince in attendance, Stephen Curry unsurprisingly made it rain Thursday night against the Thunder.

The “Purple Rain” singer strutted into Oracle Arena wearing black shades, hair done up in a thick afro and carrying a cane. He was given a standing ovation upon arrival and then sat courtside to watch Curry and the Warriors complete their season sweep of the Thunder.

Oracle Arena, which has fast become one of the most difficult places for opposing teams to play, received the Prince stamp of approval, which doesn’t come lightly.

“Prince checked out Oracle Thursday night and it more than met his approval. Bay area should be named Ground Zero. Wow!” he wrote on Twitter.

Curry, who scored 33 points in the victory on 12-of-25 shooting, was equally star struck by the support from the seductive singer. After the game, he posted a photo of the tunnel to the locker room shrouded in dimmed purple lights.

“Think they were expecting someone special tonight at Oracle Arena????? #PurpleRain,” he wrote.

For his part, Prince has previously proven smitten by Curry’s talents. At a sold-out concert in Oakland February 28, he gave the sharp shooter a shout out.

At 55-5 and still on pace to surpass the Chicago Bulls 72-10 record, the Warriors are well aware of that.
