MIAMI – A-Rod meet… A-Rod?

Alex Rodriguez and University of Miami point guard Angel Rodriguez schmoozed during the Yankees’ batting practice at Marlins Park Friday before the Yanks faced Miami in an exhibition game.

The whole thing started when Angel Rodriguez, who helped UM to the NCAA’s Sweet 16, tweeted some regret last month that he hadn’t introduced himself to the slugger when A-Rod attended a UM game.

Both Rodriguez and his publicist, Ron Berkowitz, saw the tweet. A-Rod responded via Twitter, in part: “Hopefully, we can meet up sometime” and even flashed a decent emoji game.

A-Rod, who grew up in Miami and is a longtime Hurricanes’ fan, posed for pictures during BP with his arm around Angel Rodriguez, both grinning.
