Police seized multiple weapons —including a large sword, stun gun and meat cleaver —from the Gillette Stadium employee parking lot during the Winter Classic after searching a Connecticut man’s car.

Officials assigned to Friday’s Winter Classic, which took place at the home of the Patriots at 1 p.m., notified police of a suspicious man in the parking lot around 11:05 a.m., according to reports.

The Foxborough Police Department posted a picture of the items Saturday morning and determined that there had been no threat to Gillette Stadium or during the hockey game, when the Canadiens defeated the Bruins 5-1.

Matthew Bromson, 48, was arrested for bringing a cache of old-school weapons to the employee parking lot of Gillette Stadium during the Winter Classic.

Matthew Bromson, 48, of North Granby, Conn. was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including trespassing, possession of an electric stun gun, disorderly conduct and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, police said.

In 2014, he was reportedly involved in an almost-nine-hours-long standoff with police, after they tried to serve an outstanding warrant at his home in Granby, Conn.

It’s unclear if any events are planned at the stadium for Saturday.

The Patriots (12-3) are on the road Sunday, facing the Dolphins (5-10) in Miami in the regular-season finale, looking to lock up home field for the playoffs.
