At least this cat wasn’t bad luck.

A friendly feline interrupted a Qatar Open match between Roberta Vinci and Cagla Buyukakcay just before set point on Wednesday. The striped cat was chased off the court by a ballboy, gone as quickly as it appeared.

Vinci went on to win the set and laughed off the furry fiasco afterwards.

“Well I won the set so it’s OK. Maybe tomorrow, again,” she said, hinting that the cat could be a good luck charm.

SERENA WILLIAMS HAILS CAB TO FINISH LINE OF HER OWN CHARITY

The cat sighting ironically brings Vinci into the spotlight once more, after she gained international attention for defeating Serena Williams in the 2015 U.S. Open semi-finals. Though it was an upset for the ages, Vinci’s post-match interview became more remembered for her charming Italian accent, electric smile and genuine emotion while breaking down her takedown of a tennis giant in the most simplistic form.

“In my mind I say, put the ball on the court. Don’t think,” she said to raucous cheers from the crowd. “Try to put all the ball on the court, don’t think about that Serena is on the other side of the court. And run. When you put the ball, run. Don’t think and run. And then I won.”

After being told she had 300-to-1 odds of winning the match, Vinci was asked whether she ever could have dreamed of defeating Williams.

“No,” she said, simply shaking her head in denial.

Cat got her tongue that time.
