Synchronized ice skaters recreate ‘Blades of Glory’ routine

Two synchronized ice skaters took some lessons from Will Ferrell and Jon Heder when they performed a “Blades of Glory” – inspired dance at an exhibition at the US Synchronized Skating Championships.

Tim McKernan and Dean Copely recreated the “Fire and Ice” performance from the 2007 comedy about Jimmy MacElroy (Heder) and Chazz Michael Michaels (Ferrell), two Olympic ice skaters banned from competition who find a loophole and qualify as a pairs team.

Just like their predecessors, McKernan and Copely dressed up for the events, donning themed costumes for their performance — McKernan wore Ferrell’s red and orange and Copely wore Heder’s blue and silver.
