Dec. 19, 1948 – Philadelphia Eagles 7, Chicago Cardinals 0: Amid heavy snowfall in Philadelphia, the 1948 NFL championship at Shibe Park was delayed for 30 minutes while the grounds crew readied the field – and then fans had to wait until the fourth quarter for somebody to score.
