It was an ace for autism.

Rickie Fowler stepped up to the bonus 19th hole at Florida’s Old Palm Golf Club on Monday with the potential to win $1 million for Ernie Els’ autism charity. All he needed to do was make a hole-in-one.

You can imagine what happened next.

Incredibly, the world’s No. 5 golfer drained the shot, setting off a wild celebration among players and spectators and triggering the donation to the Els for Autism foundation from software company SAP.

“Epic Monday!” Fowler wrote on Instagram with a photo of the crowd mobbing him, calling the accomplishment “one of the coolest moments in my life.”

According to a tweet from golf reporter Tim Rosaforte, the charitable chip was hit with a borrowed pitching wedge from Luke Donald, the ball one-hopping its way into the cup from 111 yards out.

After participating in the pro-am, Fowler had also already changed from his golf shoes to a pair of sneakers, according to Rosaforte.

“Will always remember this moment,” Els wrote on Twitter, presumably after he finally stopped hugging Fowler. “Great support once again from pros. #humbled still can’t believe it! #iwasthere”
