Stedman Bailey continues to make progress as he tries to get himself healthy after being shot.

Stedman Bailey, the Rams wide receiver who was shot twice in the head in November, seems to making great strides toward recovery, saying he’s back in the gym.

“In golds gym this morning getting it in. Nothing crazy but I’m on a mission to make a come back. Everyday I WILL get better!” Bailey, who was released from the hospital last month, tweeted Tuesday morning.

He also added: “#Shoutout to all the people that believes in me. & to all the people praying for me. I appreciate you all”

In December, Bailey’s agent told TMZ Sports that his client was “getting back to himself” and still hopes to play again one day.

“He is getting his strength back and just taking it one day at a time,” Tony Fleming said.

On Nov. 25, the wideout, who was serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, was reportedly sitting in a car with his cousin, Antwan Reeves, and Reeves’ two children in Miami Gardens, Fla. when gunmen fired rounds at them just before 9 p.m. He was in critical condition and underwent surgery at Aventura Hospital.

Bailey has played in the NFL for three seasons and has 59 catches for 843 yards and two touchdowns in his career.
