Joey Ryan surprised his girlfriend Laura James by proposing to her in the middle of their intergender wrestling match.

The 36-year-old professional wrestler faced off against girlfriend Laura James in a match in San Diego when he dropped down on one knee and pulled a ring out from the corner of the ring.

“We’ve been talking about this so much that I feel like this was the only way to surprise you,” Ryan said.

“Laura Clare James, I love you with all of my heart.”

James said “yes” as the crowd broke into a chant of “holy s—.”

Ryan also managed to sneak in a last-minute takedown of his new fiancée as well.
