Not even world No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic is above constructive criticism.

After trudging his way through an ugly, mistake-ridden win over Giles Simon at the Australian Open, Djokovic got some unrequested pointers from a heckler in the stands.

Djokovic, who commited 100 unforced errors Sunday, was in the middle of his post-match TV interview with Jim Courier (8-minute mark) when the fan interrupted with his loud but simple advice.

“No more drop shots!”

Inappropriate and all, the suggestion was surprisingly well-received by Djokovic, who was lucky to survive Simon.

“OK, thanks buddy,” he answered. “I hate to say that but you are absolutely right,” he finally conceeded, much to the crowd’s amusement.

We’ll see if Djokovic indeed avoids those drop shots when he faces Japan’s Kei Nishikori in the quarterfinals.
