Nationals Bryce Harper wears ‘Make Baseball Fun Again' hat

Move over Donald Trump, the best campaign platform in D.C. is coming from Bryce Harper.

The 23-year-old All-Star sported a Trump-esque hat Monday, which read, “Make Baseball Fun Again,” following the Nationals 4-3 win over the Braves.

“Coming [to Atlanta] playing, it’s a lot of fun,” Harper told reporters after the game. “They had a sold-out crowd today. That’s huge. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen Turner Field sold out. It’s a lot of fun to play here and enjoy that with the fans, and it was a lot of fun playing today.”

Harper, who is known to play with some flair, began his ‘fun’ stump speech last month when he vocalized his disdain for baseball’s unwritten rules.

Harper had plenty of fun on Monday, belting a home run in his first at-bat, making it his fourth consecutive Opening Day with a home run.

Even a wall from Trump can’t stop that.
