Jimmy Heimbuch of Oak Ridge, N.J., emailed after reading our recent story on scams:

“Hey, Mighty, had a guy with a accent and his name was Eddie. He says, ‘Mr. Jim, we see you’re having problems with your computer, I’m calling from computer data center and we need your computer model and serial number to clear up the problem.’ I told him to send me hard mail with an address to send back the info, he says, ‘No, no, no, you cannot do dat, and anyway, we take care of it from here all we need are the two numbers you don’t have to do a ting.’

“So I asked him, ‘Hey, Eddie, why do you need my model and serial number? Don’t you already have that seeing how it is you know I have problems.’ He says, ‘Well, sir, they just told us to call and get dis information.’ So I told him to never call back or the cops will come and get him; haven’t heard a ting from him.”

Mighty hit with Auburn (-3) on Wednesday and likes Oklahoma on Thursday. The deficit is 1434 sirignanos.
