Matt Barnes says he wasn’t being fresh Monday on Instagram, but he was looking fresh.

The Grizzlies forward insisted Wednesday that his dapper post, shared just minutes after Derek Fisher was fired as Knicks coach, wasn’t another shot as his nemesis.

“I liked what I was wearing,” Barnes said. “That’s it. That’s all it was.”

Apparently modeling is another of the Grizzlies forward’s skills. Beyond that, Barnes wasn’t interested in discussing his feud with the ex-Knicks coach.

“It kind of is what it is,” Barnes told the Daily News Wednesday morning at Barclays Center, before Memphis beat the Nets, 109-90, and fans heckled him by chanting Fisher’s name. “People assume what they want to assume. I learned my lesson from talking and doing what I did. I got fined a lot of money. So I just kind of stay out of that situation now.”

Matt Barnes isn’t interested in discussing his feud with Derek Fisher, who was fired as Knicks coach on Monday.

Barnes and Fisher mixed it up during the preseason at the home of the former’s estranged wife, Gloria Govan, after Barnes’ kids contacted him via FaceTime to tell him that Fisher was at the house. Barnes bragged to friends that he punched Fisher in the mouth, though when he returned to training camp — Fisher initially told the Knicks that he was going back to Los Angeles to visit his kids — he had no marks on his face.

The incident — along with Barnes’ saying that “Violence is never the answer, but sometimes it is. And unfortunately, it happened” — cost him $35,000 and came with a two-game suspension.

While Knicks president Phil Jackson said that the love triangle wasn’t a factor in Fisher’s firing Monday, he did call the episode an embarrassment for the franchise.

As for Fisher getting the ax, Barnes said he had “no thoughts” on the topic.
