LeSean McCoy spent the first six seasons of his NFL career in Philadelphia.

Bills running back LeSean McCoy was part of a group of men that allegedly assaulted two off-duty cops at a Philly club early Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.

A group of four males, which reportedly included McCoy, got into the physical confrontation with the off-duty officers over the ownership of a bottle of champagne at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday at Recess Lounge in Old City. Former Chargers running back Curtis Brinkley was reportedly one of the other men involved. McCoy and a friend were not arrested but are the target of a police investigation, according to WPVI-TV, Philadelphia’s ABC affiliate.

McCoy and his crew allegedly “punched and knocked” one of the officers to the ground, according to the police report. The victim was “punched, kicked and stomped about his body and head multiple times by all four Suspects,” while on the ground, the report states.

Two officers were involved in the brawl along with a sergeant. Officer Darnell Jessie, identified by Philly.com, needed eight stitches over his eye and was under evaluation for a possible skull fracture. Officer Roland Butler was treated for a broken nose, broken ribs, a cut over his eye and a sprained thumb.

The police report did not specifically identify McCoy but did indicate that at least one of the suspects was believed to be an NFL player.

“We are aware of the reports regarding LeSean McCoy and are in the process of gather more information,” the Bills said in a statement. “We will not provide any further comment at this time.”

McCoy’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, declined comment on the matter.
