The Knicks have failed to make the playoffs since Phil Jackson took over as president.

The Knicks are officially headed to the lottery without a draft pick.

For the third straight season, the Knicks won’t be competing in the postseason, a formality made official Sunday night when New York (30-44) was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

The final blow was delivered with a Pacers victory Sunday over the Rockets, making it impossible for the Knicks to catch the eighth seed. So they were essentially fired on their day off.

New York’s first-round pick this year was traded to Toronto for Andrea Bargnani in 2013. The last time they made the playoffs they won 54 games and the Atlantic Division in 2012-13.

They are 47-109 the last two seasons.
