Oh, Jimmer Fredette, we hardly knew ya.

The buzzer effectively sounded on Jimmer Time Wednesday, with a Knicks source saying that the former BYU star won’t get a second 10-day contract from the team.

It was a whirlwind week-plus for the pride of Glens Falls, who made his debut in a blowout loss to the Raptors and shot the ball the first time he touched it, of course, canning a three from 25 feet. In his 10 days with the Knicks, Fredette saw just over five minutes of game action, scoring seven points.

Carmelo Anthony wasn’t exactly psyched that the Knicks were calling Fredette up from Westchester.

“To be honest with you,” Anthony said after being told about Jimmer’s impending arrival. “I haven’t seen Jimmy play in a long time. I’ve been hearing about what’s he’s doing down there in the D-League but I haven’t seen him play in action for a long time.”

But in practice, the 27-year-old couldn’t hold his own against the likes of Jose Calderon, Sasha Vujacic and Jerian Grant.

“In some parts he got pushed around a little bit and guys were active offensively as a result,” Kurt Rambis said after one of Fredette’s first practices.

FAILING ETIQUITTE CLASS

Fredette failed to follow basketball protocol when he tried to get a shot off with .8 seconds to go in a 21-point blowout. Myers Leonard did not approve.
