Jenrry Mejia earned a lifetime ban from baseball after a third failed PED test in February.

Jenrry Mejia is innocent and a victim of a giant baseball conspiracy.

That’s the story the banned Met is pitching these days.

Mejia, 26, who became the first big-leaguer to get the permanent suspension from the sport for three failed tests for performing enhancing drugs, claimed in an interview with the New York Times that he only flunked one test.

“I felt there was a conspiracy against me,” Mejia told The Times. “I feel that they were trying to find something to being me down in my career.”

He said Major League Baseball officials pressured him to share information on his doping connections, and told the newspaper that his second failed test was in some way inaccurate.

Mejia told The Times through an interpreter that he was warned by baseball officials that is he appealed his second test that “they will find a way to find a third positive.”

Mejia, who already had been serving a full-season ban since July, has tested positive for Boldenone, MLB announced last month. It is Mejia’s third positive test in 10 months.

Even after his second positive test, the Mets’ front office tendered him a contract in January in anticipation of the former closer’s return in July 2016.

“We were deeply disappointed to hear that Jenrry has again violated Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. We fully support MLB’s policy toward eliminating performance enhancing substances from the sport. As per the Joint Drug Program, we will have no further comment on this suspension,” the Mets said in a statement when the lifetime ban was announced.

Mejia is also placing the blame on the players’ association.

“The association should have done more,” Mejia said in the interview. “(The MLBPA) should have been there to defend me – because that’s what they’re there for. They should have found something to appeal for.”

Mejia can apply for reinstatement after one year.
