Dan Girardi gets puck stuck in eye, looks like a pirate

[ad_1]

Not too many people can pull off the pirate look these days, but Dan Girardi came pretty close.

For reasons that defy logic and physics, a puck got stuck between the Rangers defenseman’s face and visor during Saturday night’s 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars, covering his left eye and making him look more like a sea bandit than an NHL player.

At least that’s what Girardi himself had to say about the freakish incident after the game.

“That’s the pirate puck,” he said.

Looking good, Dan Girardi.

Looking good, Dan Girardi.

Teammate Dominic Moore was even more direct, tweeting “arrrrrgh.”

Arrrrrgh indeed, Dominic. Arrrrrgh indeed.
