The good times are back in Cleveland after a players-only meeting moderated by LeBron James (l.) and Kevin Love (r.) helped clear the air among the squad after coach David Blatt’s firing.

First they got rid of David Blatt, then the Cavaliers got rid of their bad attitudes.

The firing of Blatt as Cleveland head coach two weeks was followed by a no-holds-barred, players-only meeting that helped resolve differences and unite the squad, according to an ESPN.

The meeting was reportedly organized at the urging of David Griffin, with All-Stars LeBron, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love doing most of the talking.

“It was like ripping off a scab,” a team source told ESPN. “And it was exactly what needed to happen. I think it was what (Griffin) was hoping for.”

One of the main points driven home during the discussion was the need to establish accountability within team – specifically having the same set of rules for all players, regardless of their status is in the squad.

At times heated, the meeting also saw James, Irving and Love admit to making mistakes along the way this season. James, specifically, was allegedly confronted for not setting a strong enough example among his teammates.

“It’s the type of conversation that only comes out when it’s time for that conversation, if you know what I mean,” another source told ESPN.

Since dumping Blatt for Tyronn Lue, the Cavs are 4-1 with a four-game winning streak – their last a 117-103 blowout of the San Antonio Spurs.
