While Mets fans are focused on the landing place of Yoenis Cespedes, the team’s Twitter account is concerned with … spring training?

As reports circulate that Cespedes could join the Nationals, who also nabbed second baseman-turned postseason hero Daniel Murphy, the Mets tweeted out a simple message:

“Pitchers & catchers report in 27 days! #Mets #SpringTraining” with a picture of Jeurys Familia delivering a pitch.

Mets fans didn’t share the team’s enthusiasm.

“GET THE F–K OFF TWITTER AND SIGN CESPEDES,” responded one user.

“You guys ever hear of bad timing?” replied another.

A few others responded with “sell the team” and to focus on the free-agent outfielder.

The Nationals’ offer to Cespedes is for five years, according to multiple reports. The Mets don’t want to go beyond a three-year deal.

Cespedes had a .287 batting average with 17 home runs and 44 RBI after being dealt to the Mets from the Tigers last season.
