Gary Woodland takes pants off for shot at Honda Classic

There is nothing worse than playing golf with wet, muddy pants.

So when Gary Woodland had to play a ball out of the mud on the sixth hole in Sunday’s Honda Classic, he did the only reasonable thing to do.

He took his pants off.

That’s right, the 31-year-old channeled his inner Henrik Stenson, removing his white pants and hitting the ball out of a spot of shallow water in nothing but his shirt, hat and briefs.

The strategy was not quite a success.

The ball landed in the greenside bunker but Woodland still managed to par on the par-4 hole.

Woodland did not fare too well the rest of the day, shooting a 78 and finishing in a tie for 61st place overall.

At least his pants were clean, though.
