Cowboys reportedly tired of Greg Hardy’s partying ways

Greg Hardy unlikely to be re-signed by the Dallas Cowboys, according to a new report.

Greg Hardy’s partying – and not his domestic violence bust or sexist comments upon returning from suspension – could spell the end of his time with the Dallas Cowboys.

The troubled defensive end is not expected to be re-signed as a free agent, according to Bleacher Report. The video report stated that Cowboys brass believes “Hardy partied a lot during the season and was simply not in great physical shape as the season wore on.”

Hardy played 12 games for the Cowboys – with six sacks – after serving a four-game suspension from the NFL following a domestic violence incident involving a former girlfriend while a member of the Carolina Panthers.

Soon after he was reinstated, Hardy also made inappropriate comments about Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen and then was involved in an altercation with teammates – including shoving Devin Street and shouting at Dez Bryant – on the sidelines of a game against the Giants on Oct. 25.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones supported Hardy during the regular season and even allowed for the possibility of re-signing him to a long-term extension.

Asked specifically about Hardy at the Senior Bowl workouts this week in Alabama, however, Jones told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram: “We’re just now really looking at individual situations, contract situations, all of that. So I don’t have any comment about any of our players that are out of contract.”

Earlier this month, Hardy had indicated a desire to return to Dallas next season.

“If the Cowboys offer me an opportunity to stay, I would love to stay here,” Hardy said. “My man (Jerry Jones) took a nice chance on me, and I would love to repay that debt with a million sacks and a ton of wins.”
